The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has launched an artificial intelligence-based chatbot named ChatDHS, designed to assist its 19,000 employees with agency-specific information and tasks. Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced the initiative, which is part of a broader trend of government agencies experimenting with generative AI technologies. In addition, the State Department has introduced an internal chatbot to aid its employees in news analysis and policy searches. The UNDP has also developed a chatbot to provide essential information to refugees in Moldova, particularly those from Ukraine, regarding border crossing documents, temporary protection, and available services.
