The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified its investigation into the alleged Public Distribution System (PDS) scam case involving absconding Trinamool Congress (TMC) strongman Sheikh Shahjahan. The probe agency has issued a fourth summons to TMC strongman Shahjahan Sheikh and is conducting raids at nearly six locations in West Bengal, including the residences of his associates. Among those raided are Partha Pratim Sengupta in Central Howrah, reportedly a close aide of Sheikh Shahjahan, and Arup Som, a former government employee now in the fish business, in Kolkata. The ED's actions are part of its ongoing efforts to uncover the extent of the PDS scam.
