Health care costs in the United States are rising, with concerns raised about Big Pharma profiting at the expense of families. Drug companies charge high prices for life-saving medication, leading to extensive lobbying expenditures. Efforts such as the IRA and bipartisan legislation aim to lower prescription drug costs and enhance healthcare accessibility for seniors and Medicare beneficiaries.
I proudly supported the Inflation Reduction Act. Why? Because its cap on insulin costs for Medicare beneficiaries has lowered costs for approximately 63,000 people in my district.
We need an all-hands-on-deck response to address rising health costs. It's why I led House passage of my bipartisan Lower Costs, More Transparency Act to rein in medical bills + make health care more accessible for all. It’s time for the Senate to act. https://t.co/lYjIzKn9T5
I joined @RepHorsford and local seniors in NV to highlight @POTUS' lower cost prescription drug law, the IRA. This Administration has prioritized affordable health care & we're putting money back in the pockets of older Americans & people with disabilities—instead of Big Pharma. https://t.co/ngFn2IXHO1
