The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Crypto Task Force will hold a series of ten public roundtables across the country between August and December to collect feedback from blockchain developers, investors and other stakeholders on prospective digital-asset regulation. The tour opens in Berkeley, California, on 4 August and will subsequently stop in Boston, Dallas, Chicago, New York, Irvine, Cleveland, Scottsdale and Ann Arbor. Two sessions are planned for New York, on 25 September and 12 November, reflecting the city’s concentration of crypto activity. Agency officials said the meetings aim to include voices that were unable to attend the agency’s “Spring Sprint Towards Crypto Clarity” events earlier this year and to broaden the input that will inform forthcoming policy proposals. The roadshow underscores Chair Gary Gensler’s pledge to tighten oversight of digital-asset markets while engaging more directly with early-stage projects.
