Russia Aims To Boost Western Oil Exports To Nearly 2 Million Barrels Per Day In August Following Drone Attack On Refinery 🛢️
Russia intends to lift crude shipments to Western markets to almost 2 million barrels a day in August, according to people familiar with the government’s plans. The redirection of barrels follows a drone strike that disabled parts of several domestic refineries, reducing the country’s processing capacity and freeing up additional crude for export. The planned increase comes after Russia’s total seaborne crude exports slipped to 3.46 million barrels a day in July, the lowest level in five months, cargo-tracking data show. By reallocating volumes that would have been refined at home, Moscow aims to sustain oil revenues while repair work continues at the damaged plants.
