This figure represents a 14.3% increase in complaints regarding IT crimes, with over 702,000 cases reported during the same period. Authorities noted that scammers make about 20 million calls daily, with approximately 1,000 of those calls resulting in successful fraud attempts, as stated by Danil Filippov, the deputy head of the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in an interview on Russia 24.
