Christophe Galtier has been named head coach of Neom SC, the Saudi Pro League club announced on Saturday. The 58-year-old Frenchman was without a team after parting ways with Qatar’s Al-Duhail at the end of May. Neom SC, recently promoted to the Saudi top flight, has bolstered its squad with former Olympique Lyonnais forwards Alexandre Lacazette and Saïd Benrahma and plans further additions. Galtier, who previously managed Paris Saint-Germain and guided Lille to the 2021 Ligue 1 title, is expected to lead an ambitious project backed by the kingdom’s investment in sport.
