Google has unveiled Gemini for Home, a new AI-powered voice assistant designed to replace Google Assistant on its smart speakers and displays, with a rollout planned for October 2025. This assistant aims to provide more natural interactions and handle complex daily tasks, enhancing the smart home experience across Nest devices. Alongside this, Google is introducing a Gemini-powered personal health coach integrated into Fitbit Premium, offering personalized fitness and sleep plans, real-time health insights, and science-backed answers. This health coach, developed in partnership with health experts, will be available as a preview in October within the redesigned Fitbit app. Additionally, Gemini technology is expanding its reach with new features such as an audio text-to-speech function in Google Docs that reads documents aloud with customizable voices and playback speeds. Google is also preparing Gemini integrations for Android Auto, Google TV, and a new smart speaker, which is expected to come in four colors and support TV pairing and a feature called Gemini Live. These developments mark Google's most substantial smart home and AI ecosystem enhancements in recent years.
