Apple has expanded its suite of health-oriented features for both AirPods Pro 2 and the latest Apple Watch models, bringing them to a wider international audience. Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook said the AirPods’ Hearing Test and Hearing Aid functions, along with Apple Watch sleep-apnea notifications, are now live in Australia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam and several additional markets. The roll-out complements a broader push announced the same day to widen availability of Apple Watch cardiovascular tools. According to Apple’s updated regional list, Sleep Apnea detection is now supported in more than 150 countries, while electrocardiogram readings, irregular rhythm alerts and AFib History have been introduced in Argentina, Costa Rica and Serbia. Apple positions the new features as software upgrades that leverage existing hardware sensors, so customers in the newly added regions can access the functions through an operating-system update rather than new devices.
