Apple Releases Eighth Developer Betas Ahead of September Software Launches
Apple on Tuesday released the eighth developer beta versions of all its major operating systems, including iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26 and visionOS 26, along with a corresponding HomePod Software update. The simultaneous rollout is widely viewed by developers as the last pre-release build before the company issues release-candidate software ahead of its annual September hardware event. The new builds—23A5330a for iOS and iPadOS, 25A5349a for macOS, 23R5350a for watchOS, 23J5348a for both tvOS and HomePod, and 23M5332a for visionOS—focus on stability and performance as Apple finalises features such as the Liquid Glass interface redesign, an expanded Notes app on Apple Watch, and spatial widgets in visionOS. The public versions are expected to ship within weeks, lining up with the anticipated unveiling of the iPhone 17 lineup and next-generation Apple Watch models.
