The Aptos Foundation has introduced a proposal to deploy Aave V3 on the Aptos Mainnet. This initiative is part of Aave's open governance process and represents the first deployment of Aave to a non-EVM blockchain. The integration code, built in Move, has already been developed by Aave Labs and deployed onto the Aptos testnet. The proposal aligns with the Aave 2030 plan to expand the Aave Protocol beyond EVM networks. According to Stani Kulechov, the collaboration aims to bring decentralized finance (DeFi) to a broader audience, leveraging Aptos' fast-growing ecosystem. Members of the Aave community have expressed excitement about this development.

Much appreciation for open development processes to bring serious tech, tooling & infra across chains in the spirit of decentralization. I’m optimistic that @Aptos Foundation’s proposal to bring Aave V3 to Aptos Mainnet will help set a course for bringing DeFi to millions, then… https://t.co/QRB30MRaFr
It’s been great to get to know the Aave community over the last year. Really excited to see this proposal by @Aptos Foundation. Opening @aave up to non-EVM networks has never been done before, and it would be a welcome addition to the fast-growing Aptos ecosystem.
