Cursor AI Version 0.50 Adds New Tab Model, Background Agent, and Fully Persisted Session Cookies with Chromium Modifications

Cursor AI has announced a major update to its platform, introducing version 0.50 which includes a new tab model and the ability for its cursor agent to run in the background. This update allows users to interact with their agents immediately in a remote copy of Cursor. Additionally, the Contexts API has been improved with fully persisted session cookies, enabling users to authenticate once and remain logged in across future browser sessions. The update involved modifications to Chromium to ensure reliable authentication persistence, addressing previous issues with session timeouts. These enhancements aim to provide a more seamless and secure user experience.
