Congrats Flow ecosystem on all the hard work on making Crescendo on Testnet a reality today. Thousands of hours have gone into upgrading contracts, creating tools to support each other and adding awesome features that are going to shape the future of web3 for the mainstream.
The Flow blockchain is set to undergo a significant upgrade with the introduction of the Crescendo network. This upgrade will bring full Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) equivalence to Flow, allowing any smart contract, protocol, or tooling that works on the Ethereum Mainnet to function seamlessly on Flow. The Crescendo upgrade is already live on the Testnet as of August 14, 2024, and will be available on the Mainnet starting September 4, 2024, at 5am PT. This development is expected to enhance the user experience, onchain logic, and scalability for web3 developers using the Flow blockchain. The upgrade, marked as the most significant since Flow's inception, aims to eliminate barriers for builders and empower developers with the latest version of Cadence.
