GitHub has announced the launch of a new AI tool designed for micro applications, enhancing its existing Copilot feature. The update, which includes the OpenAI o1-preview, is now available to all Copilot users without any waitlist, allowing developers to leverage advanced AI capabilities for their projects. This development was highlighted by various users who noted improvements in features such as the Copilot edit mode, which they compared favorably to other models. The announcement is part of GitHub's ongoing efforts to integrate AI into its development tools, aiming to streamline coding processes and enhance user experience.
