Google is enhancing its Gemini Live feature, which is expected to include real-time captions and conversation summarization capabilities. An APK teardown has revealed that these functionalities should have been available from the start. New strings found in the latest Google app beta (version 16.6.23) indicate the introduction of a 'Caption' button to generate real-time captions for Gemini Live's responses. Additionally, Gemini can now recall previous chats, further improving its conversational abilities. Users have noted the system's enhanced understanding of context and language recognition, marking a significant advancement in voice recognition technology.
