Google Makes Gemini AI Reasoning Dial Feature Free on Android With Developer Control and New Button

Google has announced that it will make one of the premium features of its Gemini artificial intelligence model available for free on Android devices. This new functionality introduces a reasoning dial, which allows developers and users to adjust the AI's cognitive processing level, effectively controlling how 'smart' or resource-intensive the AI operates. The feature acts like a 'cognitive thermostat,' enabling users to reduce overthinking by the AI and potentially save on computational costs. This update provides Android users with greater control over the AI's behavior directly through a new button integrated into their devices.
