The Chicago area faces a threat of storms with damaging winds and torrential downpours, mainly west of the Fox River. Southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin may experience showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall, though a drier pattern is expected through midweek with highs in the 80s. Additionally, a Red Flag Warning has been issued in Colorado due to fire risk amid severe thunderstorms expected in the afternoon.
