U.S. President Donald Trump said he is unlikely to attend this year’s Group of 20 leaders’ summit in South Africa and is considering sending a representative in his place. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said he "probably won’t" go, adding that he has "had a lot of problems with South Africa." The annual G-20 gathering brings together leaders of the world’s largest economies to discuss global economic and geopolitical issues. Trump’s potential absence would mark the first time a U.S. president has skipped the summit since its inception at the leaders’ level in 2008.
