Tencent Holdings Ltd. plans to offer a broader range of generative artificial-intelligence services in Japan and Southeast Asia as the Chinese technology company accelerates its push beyond the domestic market, an executive told Nikkei Asia. The cloud business chief said Tencent will leverage AI models trained in China and adapt them for "last-mile" applications such as customer service, content creation and other enterprise solutions in overseas markets. The company intends to draw on assets like its WeChat platform and existing internet services to localize offerings for corporate clients in the region.
