Anthropic, an AI safety and innovation company, has acquired HumanLoop, a spin-out from University College London (UCL). HumanLoop informed its customers in July that it would be shutting down its platform as part of the acquisition process. Following the acquisition, Anthropic has hired the cofounders and senior team members of HumanLoop, intensifying competition for enterprise AI talent. Separately, NeoLogic is developing more energy-efficient CPUs aimed at AI data centers, while NASA has initiated efforts to develop data pipelines for Mars missions.
