Iberdrola has completed a capital increase raising approximately €5.016 billion ($5.9 billion) with a strong subscription rate of 3.8 times the offered shares. The Spanish electric utility company plans to use the proceeds to accelerate investments in power networks, particularly in the United States and the United Kingdom. The capital increase was priced at €15.15 per share, representing a discount of 4.68%. Iberdrola reported revenues exceeding €22.7 billion up to July 2025 and a net profit of €3.562 billion in the first half of the year. The company also noted a €135 million impact from a blackout, which partly motivated the balance sheet strengthening to support its global expansion strategy.
