USA Basketball completed a gold-medal sweep over the weekend, with the senior women’s team winning the 2025 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup and the men’s under-19 squad reclaiming the FIBA U19 World Cup crown. The women secured the AmeriCup title on Sunday night, led by guard Mikayla Blakes, who scored 25 points and was named tournament MVP. It is the United States’ first AmeriCup championship since 2023. Earlier in Lausanne, the U.S. U19 men routed Germany 109–76 to regain the world championship they last held in 2021. Six Americans reached double figures, with Morez Johnson Jr. posting 15 points and 10 rebounds as the team erased the disappointment of a fourth-place finish two years ago.
