The WNBA has named Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark to a five-player field for the 2025 Starry 3-Point Contest, marking her first appearance in the event and coming on her home floor in Indianapolis. She will square off against New York Liberty star and 2023 champion Sabrina Ionescu, defending 2024 winner Allisha Gray of the Atlanta Dream, Washington Mystics rookie Sonia Citron and Los Angeles Sparks veteran Kelsey Plum. The contest will be held on Friday, July 18, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and televised on ESPN as part of All-Star weekend, which Indianapolis is hosting for the first time. The two-round format features standard ball racks, an all-money-ball rack and extended-range Starry shots worth three points, with the top two scorers from the opening round advancing to a final shoot-off. Clark enters the competition shooting 28.9% from long range this season after setting the WNBA rookie record with 122 made threes in 2024. Ionescu owns the event’s single-round record of 37 points, while Gray leads the current field at 38.9% from beyond the arc. Their matchup, alongside rising talent Citron and four-time All-Star Plum, gives the league one of its most accomplished 3-point lineups to date.
