Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier, the top two vote-getters in fan balloting, used their captaincy to draft the rosters for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game on 8 July. With the first overall selection, Clark chose her Fever teammate and three-time All-Star center Aliyah Boston, reinforcing a home-court connection ahead of the exhibition at the Fever’s Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on 19 July. Clark’s Team Clark also added New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu, Las Vegas Aces forward A’ja Wilson and Phoenix Mercury forward Satou Sabally among the starters. Collier countered by selecting New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart, Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray, Seattle Storm forward Nneka Ogwumike and Dallas Wings rookie guard Paige Bueckers to headline Team Collier. Each captain later stocked their benches with a mix of current club teammates and long-time associates, highlighted by Clark taking Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell at No. 10 and Collier grabbing Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese at No. 13. After completing the 20-player draft, the captains agreed to swap coaches: New York Liberty head coach Sandy Brondello will guide Team Clark, while Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve moves to Team Collier. All-Star weekend festivities in Indianapolis run 18–19 July, culminating in the showcase game at 8:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
