The desktop AI assistant app Highlight has officially spun out from Medal, securing $10 million in funding to enhance its capabilities. Earlier this year, Medal, which is recognized for its video game clipping features, launched Highlight as a cross-platform AI assistant. The app aims to streamline digital management by serving as an on-screen personal assistant that captures context from users' screens and audio to perform actions or answer questions. Highlight is designed to improve efficiency by allowing users to run prompts and web applications seamlessly, without the need for extensive tab management. Recently, the app introduced a 'Push To Talk' feature, enabling context-aware voice prompting, which is now available for both Windows and Mac users. The app has already seen significant usage, with over 10,000 users engaging with Highlight for a total of 160,000 actions in just one day.
