
Ilya Sutskever, a co-founder and former Chief of OpenAI, has launched a new company named Safe Superintelligence Inc. (SSI). Sutskever, who left OpenAI last month, co-founded the organization nearly a decade ago and served on its board. SSI aims to develop safe AI superintelligence, focusing on reducing the long-term risks associated with superintelligent AI models. The company’s business model is designed to protect safety goals from short-term market pressures. Sutskever announced the new venture on Twitter on June 27. Dan Levy, another former OpenAI co-founder, is also involved in the project.
