Syntilay, a US-based footwear startup backed by the co-founder of Reebok, is collaborating with two space companies to design a shoe in orbit. The project aims to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology to make these technologies more cost-effective and environmentally friendly compared to their use on Earth. The shoe design mission is scheduled for launch in 2026. Separately, Rocket Lab has signed an agreement with Bollinger Shipyards to complete the construction of a 400-foot ocean landing platform in Louisiana for its Neutron reusable rocket missions. This infrastructure development will support the recovery of Neutron rockets returning to Earth by sea.
