Aehr Test Systems said it has booked follow-on orders for six of its Sonoma ultra-high-power packaged-part burn-in systems from its lead production customer, described as a world-leading hyperscale cloud provider developing artificial-intelligence processors. The equipment will be produced at Aehr’s Fremont, California facility and is scheduled to ship over the next two quarters. The latest purchase extends the customer’s earlier commitments and underscores continuing demand for high-reliability testing as AI processors move into volume production. Aehr’s Sonoma platform can stress-test thousands of chips simultaneously at elevated power levels, a capability viewed as critical for ensuring reliability in large data-center deployments. Investors welcomed the order, sending Aehr shares up about 13% in pre-market trading to roughly $18.10 on Monday.
