Cathie Wood's Ark Invest has been actively selling shares in several cryptocurrency-related companies amid rising stock prices and portfolio rebalancing. Since mid-June 2025, Ark Invest has offloaded approximately $353 million worth of Circle shares following the stablecoin issuer's public debut and a surge in its stock price, which peaked at $263.45 per share. The sales occurred in multiple tranches, including $51.7 million, $44.8 million, $146.2 million, and $110 million worth of shares sold on June 23 alone. Circle's stock has experienced a rally of nearly 670% since its IPO, closing 248% above its $69 debut price. Concurrently, Ark Invest has also sold substantial amounts of Coinbase shares, totaling over $90 million from late June through July 2025, including a $43.8 million sale on June 30 and additional sales of $12 million and $13.3 million in mid to late July. Coinbase's stock hit record closing highs during this period. Ark Invest has also trimmed holdings in Robinhood and Block Inc., selling shares worth $5.8 million and $9.8 million respectively in July. In parallel with these divestments, Ark Invest has increased its positions in Tesla and Ethereum-focused ventures, notably investing $116 million in Bitmine, an Ethereum treasury firm, and acquiring $18.7 million in Tesla shares. In late July, Ark made aggressive purchases of Bitmine, Google (Alphabet), AMD, and Nvidia shares while reducing holdings in companies such as Joby Aviation, Palantir, Robinhood, and Rocket Lab. These moves reflect a strategic portfolio reshaping amid volatile crypto markets and valuation concerns following rapid gains in crypto-related stocks.
