JPMorgan Chase & Co. expanded its bet on Tesla Inc. during the second quarter, buying about 6.6 million additional shares of the electric-vehicle maker. The purchase lifted the bank’s Tesla stake by 16.7 % to 46,015,610 shares, making JPMorgan the carmaker’s fifth-largest institutional shareholder. Based on Tesla’s 30 June closing price of $317.66, the holding was worth roughly $14.62 billion.
