Nestlé has announced that Pablo Isla, the former CEO and chairman of Inditex, will become the new global chairman of the Swiss food giant starting April 16, 2026. Isla will succeed Paul Bulcke, who is retiring and will not seek re-election. The Nestlé board proposed Isla, who currently serves as the company’s vice chairman, to lead the company. Pablo Isla is recognized for his leadership at Inditex, the parent company of Zara, and is expected to bring fresh direction to Nestlé amid ongoing corporate governance discussions. This leadership transition comes a year earlier than initially expected for Bulcke's departure. Isla's appointment has been widely reported across European and international media, highlighting his reputation as a highly effective executive in the consumer goods sector.
