Amazon has announced the general availability of Amazon Q and Amazon Q Business, generative AI-powered assistants designed to enhance software development and internal data utilization across enterprises. Amazon Q offers features such as AI coding assistance, the ability to build AI-powered applications using natural language, and integration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for managing resources and security. This tool aims to increase productivity by automating tasks like code writing, content generation, and problem-solving, while ensuring enterprise security and governance. Additionally, Amazon Q now includes capabilities for creating customized, secure applications with minimal coding, known as Amazon Q Apps, and has been integrated into QuickSight for building data visuals and stories. The Amazon CodeWhisperer is now rebranded as Q Developer, expanding its functions.
