A few ChatGPT Plus users were accidentally given early access to GPT-4o's advanced voice feature, which includes the ability to generate background sound effects while narrating stories. This access was unintended and has since been corrected. Among the users was a Reddit user, u/RozziTheCreator, who shared a video of GPT-4o telling a horror story complete with sound effects. The incident, which lasted only a short time, was reported by Tom's Guide AI Editor, Ryan Morrison, who spoke to both the user and OpenAI for more information.
