Meta's social media platform Threads has significantly increased its user base, now boasting over 350 million monthly active users, a substantial rise from nearly 100 million in October. Mark Zuckerberg confirmed this growth during Meta's earnings call. Threads has surpassed its main competitor, X, in daily active users in the U.S. and is currently the third most downloaded free app on the Apple App Store, while X has dropped to 41st place. This growth is supported by data from Apptopia.

According to new data from Apptopia, which researches social media platforms, Threads has blown by X in America's daily active user lane. https://t.co/G0uDoKO9ed
Meta claims its Threads has more daily and monthly users than X. Seems hard to believe, but I kind of believe it. Different product. Much bigger total audience to draw from. News still happens on X. https://t.co/POc9R5Ye7K https://t.co/Dt8BAnQck7
