A new open dataset, Hermes Function Calling V1, has been released, enhancing the capabilities of the Hermes 2 Pro model. This dataset, which is now fully open source, includes both single and multiturn function calling and structured JSON outputs. Developed by a collaborative team, the dataset features a diverse curriculum in an OpenAI-compatible format, complete with special XML tags and JSON schemas. It is designed to train large language models (LLMs) for agentic use and structured outputs. The dataset is available under the Apache 2.0 license and is supported on platforms such as Ollama, LocalAI_API, and Hugging Face.
