Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola CEO and founder, has announced the beta rollout of 'Krutrim AI,' a groundbreaking AI-powered chatbot developed by his startup. Krutrim AI, which is now available to the public, is designed to understand 22 Indian languages and can respond in 10 of them, marking a significant advancement in AI computing stack for India. The chatbot, compared to global counterparts like ChatGPT or Gemini, aims to make AI accessible to a wider Indian audience by supporting native languages. Ravi Jain, Head of Strategy at Krutim, highlighted the platform's key features and its goal to pioneer the new era in the Indian AI landscape. The startup has been recognized as India's first unicorn of 2024, underscoring its potential impact on the technology sector. Krutrim AI rates itself 7/10 on political neutrality and attributes religious polarisation to BJP. A more complex model, Krutrim Pro, is soon to be launched.
