A recent study from the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism (RISJ) reveals that despite significant hype surrounding generative AI tools like ChatGPT, actual usage remains low. The survey, conducted among 12,000 people across six countries including the UK, US, and Japan, found that between 20% and 30% of the online population had not heard of popular AI tools. ChatGPT was the best known and most used generative AI tool. In the UK, only 2% of respondents use AI tools like ChatGPT daily, with younger people showing more enthusiasm. Meanwhile, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has signed a deal with OpenAI to roll out ChatGPT Enterprise to 100,000 employees, including 75,000 in the US and 26,000 in the UK, making PwC the first reseller of ChatGPT Enterprise.
