Y Combinator has launched its in-person Startup School 2024, bringing together a high density of founders and partners in San Francisco. The event, which started this summer, features a Launch Live event every Friday where top products are showcased. Attendees have praised the accessibility and support from Y Combinator's group partners, who remain engaged with founders even years after their batch. The energy at the event has been described as unmatched, with many highlighting the talent and spirit reminiscent of hackathons. Additionally, the Zappy Awards by Zapier, offering $5K and a cool trophy for founders using Zapier, including an AI category, has a deadline for applications on August 4. The EforAll Business Accelerator Program is also open for any founder, with a deadline of August 7. Kapor Capital is encouraging members of underrepresented communities to join their Talent Network for opportunities in over 100 startups.
In-person Startup School is back, and boy was it good. I didn't realize what good public speakers so many of the YC partners are. Dalton and Michael had the timing of a comedy team.
What. A. Rush! 🚀 Being at the @ycombinator Startup School event was absolutely amazing . Maybe the highest density of founders per square meter! It was surreal meeting some of the YC partners and founders. Grateful for the chance to chat with the amazing @christinacaci! https://t.co/xifPPvNxmF
The most surprising part of @ycombinator has been just how accessible group partners are. Even years after the batch, they regularly respond to emails within hours (sometimes minutes). They truly have your back. They are the right role models for aspiring founders.
