Ben Shelton, a rising tennis player at the 2025 US Open, acknowledged the support of his girlfriend, professional soccer player Trinity Rodman, who traveled overnight from California to attend his first-round match. Rodman made it to Shelton's match less than 24 hours after playing in a National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) game. During a subsequent US Open press conference, Rodman playfully interrupted Shelton by asking him a question about his serve speed, catching him off guard and drawing attention to their relationship. The interaction highlighted the couple's public support for each other's athletic careers.
