Disney’s ESPN to Stream WWE’s WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam in $1.6 Billion, Five-Year Deal at $325 Million Annually
Disney's ESPN has secured exclusive U.S. streaming rights to WWE's premium live events, including WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam, under a five-year agreement valued at $1.6 billion. The deal, commencing in 2026, will see all 10 annual WWE premium live events available on ESPN's direct-to-consumer streaming platform, with select events also simulcast on ESPN's linear cable networks. ESPN will pay an average of $325 million annually, nearly doubling the previous $180 million per year paid by NBCUniversal's Peacock service. This transition marks the departure of WWE's major events from Peacock, which currently charges $10.99 per month, to ESPN's new streaming service priced at $29.99 per month. The agreement represents a substantial increase in rights fees for WWE's parent company, TKO Group Holdings, and is expected to impact fans due to the higher subscription cost for accessing WWE content on ESPN's platform.
