Khloé Kardashian said the highly public divorce from former Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom served as a "stepping stone" that helped her withstand the public fallout from Tristan Thompson’s cheating scandal in 2018. Speaking on the 2 July episode of her podcast “Khloé in Wonder Land,” the 41-year-old reality-television entrepreneur recalled navigating Odom’s infidelity and substance-abuse issues before their divorce was finalised in December 2016. Kardashian explained that the experience of managing intense media scrutiny during the break-up with Odom prepared her for Thompson’s infidelity, which became public two days before she gave birth to their daughter, True, in April 2018. “I handled it the best I knew how because I almost got experience from my divorce,” she said, adding that coping while nine months pregnant was “so public and it was everywhere.” Kardashian and Thompson, who also share two-year-old son Tatum born via surrogate in July 2022, ended their romantic relationship in June 2021 but continue to co-parent. Reflecting on both relationships, Kardashian said overcoming the successive traumas left her feeling “really strong” and “proud” of how she managed the situations.
