President Donald Trump is expected to announce on Friday that the U.S. government will take an equity stake in Intel Corp., according to people familiar with the matter. Negotiators have been discussing converting subsidies the chipmaker previously secured under the CHIPS Act into government equity, the people said. Further financial terms of the prospective stake were not disclosed.
