The Pacific Legal Foundation has filed a lawsuit challenging tariffs imposed under former President Donald Trump's International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). The case, supported by Stonemaier Games, a board game company, argues that these tariffs are unconstitutional and harm small businesses and contractors across the United States. This legal action is part of a broader pushback against the Trump administration's tariff policies, with a coalition of small businesses and a dozen states also pursuing litigation to halt the tariffs. Recent court rulings have blocked an emergency order related to these tariffs, reflecting ongoing judicial scrutiny. The dispute has drawn attention from various independent board game companies, which have united in opposition to the tariffs, emphasizing the economic impact on their industry and the broader small business community.
