Apron, a London-based startup founded by former Revolut employees, has raised $30 million in a Series B funding round led by Index Ventures and Zinal Growth. The company aims to become the financial super app for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) by automating accounts with AI technology. Despite the automation, Apron intends to retain human accountants in its operations. This latest funding round brings Apron's total funding to $50.5 million. Notable investors in this round include Bessemer Ventures, the CEO of Checkout, and the inventor of the iPod.
