Citrea, a Bitcoin project focused on enhancing the utility of Bitcoin through zero-knowledge technology, has successfully raised $14 million in Series A funding. The funding round was led by Founders Fund and included participation from Maven11 Capital, Mirana, Erik Voorhees, Balaji Srinivasan, Bitfish, and 0xMert, among others. The funds will be allocated to transforming Bitcoin from a digital gold asset into an active, programmable asset, with Citrea Origins playing a pivotal role in this initiative. The project has garnered support from various industry players who are optimistic about its potential to expand Bitcoin's functionality.
