Monad, a blockchain platform with full EVM compatibility, has launched its testnet, raising $244 million in funding and showcasing advanced features such as parallel execution and MEV resistance. The testnet has achieved an average of 186 transactions per second (TPS) over 31 days, processing over 500 million transactions with 72 globally distributed validators. It aims to reach a target of 10,000 TPS. The Monad testnet has also seen significant growth in user activity, with over 51.7 million total addresses, including 5,050,363 new addresses in the past 24 hours. However, there are concerns that a large portion of these addresses may be script-generated. In other developments, BNB Chain has reported increased activity, with a rise in transactions and token deployments, as well as the launch of svmBNB Mainnet. The new mainnet integrates features from Solana, BNB Chain, and Avail to enable fast and scalable applications with approximately 50ms block times. Separately, Avalanche's SubnetEVM has demonstrated sustained performance of 5,500 TPS with 160ms block times.
High performance blockchains need data availability that scales. With the launch of svmBNB Mainnet, developers can now build fast, scalable applications by combining the best of @solana, @BNBCHAIN & @availproject. By introducing ~50ms block times and seamless transaction https://t.co/LdyiDYLukk
Need an EVM appchain? Here is a simple performance benchmark with subsecond block-times using Avalanche's SubnetEVM. Sustained Average of 5.5k TPS with 160ms block-times and true finality. 🔥 - 5 nodes collocated - 120m gas/second - AWS r7iz.4xlarge - State held in memory https://t.co/Ro2wjJGnjn
