
Neko Health, a startup co-founded by Spotify's Daniel Ek and Hjalmar Nilsonne, has raised $260 million in a Series B funding round, valuing the company at $1.8 billion. The funding, led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from General Catalyst, O.G. Venture Partners, Rosello, Lakestar, and Atomico, will support the expansion of its AI-based full-body scanning services into the US and Europe. Neko Health aims to revolutionize preventative healthcare by offering non-invasive scans that generate millions of health data points for £299, covering conditions like skin cancer, metabolic syndrome, and cardiovascular risks. The company has already conducted over 10,000 scans in Stockholm and London, with a global waitlist exceeding 100,000 people. Neko Health's approach includes immediate doctor-led consultations post-scan, and it reports high customer loyalty with 80% of clients pre-booking follow-up scans a year in advance.
