Autonomous-vehicle developer Nuro closed a Series E financing at $203 million, confirming a post-money valuation of $6 billion. The late-stage round adds a fresh $97 million led by new backers Uber Technologies and Nvidia, alongside existing investors including Baillie Gifford. The latest tranche follows a $106 million first closing in April. Nuro’s valuation is below the $8.6 billion mark it reached in 2021, reflecting tighter capital markets even as investor interest in artificial-intelligence-driven mobility recovers. Since its 2016 founding, the Mountain View, California company has raised more than $2.3 billion. The company has shifted from building delivery robots to licensing its Nuro Driver software and sensor stack, which runs on Nvidia’s AGX Thor automotive chip. In July, Nuro and Uber announced plans to deploy more than 20,000 Lucid Gravity sport-utility vehicles equipped with the system across dozens of markets over six years starting in 2026, part of Uber’s broader push into robotaxi services.
