Three cross-border payments startups—OpenFX, Palla, and Conduit—have announced new funding rounds to advance international money transfer technologies. OpenFX emerged from stealth with $23 million in funding led by Accel, aiming to cut cross-border payment costs by up to 90% and settle foreign exchange transactions in minutes. The platform targets modernization of global financial infrastructure. Palla secured $14.5 million in a Series A round led by Revolution Ventures. The platform embeds instant, secure, and flexible cross-border payments into fintechs, banks, and large companies. Palla partners with Mastercard and Visa, and is led by CEO Enrique Perezalonso. The funding will support expansion across Latin America and the Caribbean and the development of new products. Conduit, a stablecoin-based payments platform founded in 2021, raised $36 million in a Series A round co-led by Dragonfly and Altos Ventures, with participation from Circle Ventures and Digital Currency Group. Conduit streamlines international business payments with a developer-friendly API, supporting both fiat and crypto transfers and integrating with payment rails such as SWIFT and ACH. Separately, Cart.com raised $50 million in new funding, reaching a $1.6 billion valuation, with BlackRock and Neuberger Berman leading the round to support international expansion and acquisitions.
