Safe Pro Group has secured $8 million in a private placement backed by drone-technology providers Ondas Holdings and Unusual Machines. The financing will be used to expand the company’s artificial-intelligence capabilities and speed deployment of autonomous systems aimed at military and security customers. Management said the fresh capital will fund research, product development and potential acquisitions as the firm positions itself for what it estimates will be a $30 billion U.S. defense-drone market in fiscal 2026. Terms of the placement were not disclosed beyond the total proceeds and the participation of the two strategic investors. The investment deepens Unusual Machines’ exposure to the defense sector. On 19 August the component maker announced a separate $1.6 million order for NDAA-compliant Aura cameras and HDO+ goggles, with deliveries to begin in September and conclude by December. The new funding round links Safe Pro’s AI-driven platforms with the manufacturing capacity of Ondas and Unusual Machines as Pentagon demand for domestically sourced drone hardware and software continues to grow.
